While everyone claims that the holidays are less about opening gifts and more about family, tradition, and the spirit of giving, are we putting our money where our mouth is?

Mindslap wants to find out…

WHERE IS YOUR MONEY GOING?

KIDS TAKING A STAND: Mindslap’s own Brandy Anderson speaks out about her battle with breast cancer… and how Kids Taking a Stand helped empower her:

HOW IT WORKS:

PITCHING IN: There are many ways you can help support the cause and the Kids Taking a Stand organization.

  • If you want to pitch-in please us the #iPITCHEDinMINDSLAP hashtag in response to the campaign.
  • Donate $1 or $100… While we suggest a donation of $10, any amount of money will make a difference.
  • You don’t need to give money to help! Share this post on your social network to build awareness.
  • What better way to show your family the meaning of giving than to volunteer for Kids Taking a Stand? This is a great local organization for families to get involved with.

CASHING OUT: After ten participants cash-out no more money will be raised for Kids Taking a Stand, as the campaign will end.

  • To make an official request to cash-out you must use the #iCASHEDoutMINDSLAP hashtag in response to the campaign on Mindslap’s Facebook Page.
  • You must include a brief description of what you plan on using the money for in your cash-out post.
  • If you are one of the 10 participants deciding to cash-out, you will receive $10. Cashing-out will quickly end the campaign and no more money will be raised.
  • When ten participants opt to cash-out, no more donations can be made.

WHEN IS IT OVER?

  • The campaign will end after 10 participants elect to cash-out with the #iCASHEDoutMINDSLAP hashtag.
  • It only takes 10 people to end the donation process and awareness for Kids Taking a Stand.
  • You can keep it going simply by not cashing-out or electing to receive $10.

ABOUT KIDS TAKING A STAND:

It all began with kids looking for something fun to do! Rummaging through their pantry and fridge, excited to find everything needed for a lemonade stand. That day, they raised over $100! The young entrepreneurs decided that rather than spend the money, they would donate their earnings to those affected by breast cancer. Each year, the numbers multiply, and now over 75 kids are involved in running the lemonade stand. The best part? The entire operation is run solely by kids. From planning events to orchestrating meetings, t-shirt designs to treat selection — the enterprise is entirely in the hands of the kids! Thinking they were just going to have a small lemonade stand one day turned into something that touches so many, year after year.
